American balkanization is going to be messy but necessary, and in the end, a good thing for the planet and its inhabitants.

In the meantime, I’m considering changing my display name to “Grover Cleveland Steamer”.
It ain’t here and it ain’t there.

ICE killed an Eritrean Imam in one of their concentration camps this week. Can you imagine if it was a pastor? The dovetailing of #Islamophobia and immigration cruelty is because white Christian nationalism is our stated public policy. It really pisses me off. We have to fight it with all we’ve got.

Bari’s complaint was “there’s nothing new here” and while that’s untrue it’s also irrelevant

“we intentionally sent people to be tortured in a hellhole and bragged about it and The Hague is too good for everyone involved” is a story that simply cannot be told enough

It's good to see that everyone that touches the third rail on this story enough to see the full picture almost immediately turns into a Left Populist.
If you pay attention to any large industry long enough and follow it to its logical conclusion you eventually end up sounding like a communist even if you started off testing CPU case fans. youtu.be/cUrJVdF2me0?...

Just a few months ago the entire administration was gleefully posting AI Ghiblislop bragging about how cruel and inhumane the camp would be, explicitly referencing racist memes of alligator babies, etc.

And *now* they're suddenly worried about looking cruel and inhumane
CBS News EIC Bari Weiss had concerns about the CECOT piece, I’m told. The network decided to hold the segment pending, among other things, comment or an interview with White House officials next year…

In actual fact, the way this is supposed to work is that the party unites behind the person who *wins the primary.* Until then, you've got to work for your seat. Sorry!
The articles framing is sorta funny because this clearly isn’t a centrist vs progressive thing as much as it’s a fight vs don’t fight thing

LOL "Bari killed this meticulous story because it was unfavorable to the Trump administration" is literally the story they're giving to their stenographer

This.

If you *read* a transcript of a trump “speech”, it’s just absolute gibberish.

But … if you *watch* it, trump has the audience eating out of his hand. he’s a magnificent live entertainer, just the right combination of jokes and spite, surfing atop a boiling sea of resentment.
Trump is an *entertainer* first and foremost and his wannabes are not. The people that voted for his vile ass did it because they like being entertained by him

The system that created Epstein, protected him, and let him thrive for decades, still exists. His market of powerful monsters still exists, and they're still being protected.

There is definitely, right now, someone serving the same role he did, being protected the same way by the same people.

They are now close to dying & the British state doesn't care.
