America entered a post-truth society in 2016. That enabled the Big Lie to survive and flourish. Now America is entering a post-rule-of-law society.

When the government actively seeks to cause harm to its citizens the great compact is broken.

One year of Trump is = to the stress & anxiety of seven years.

Starting a war in Venezuela doesn’t change the fact that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files.

Trump and Epstein are the same.

He is a predator.

We know it.

He knows it.

The world knows it.

it is extremely funny to tell everyone you're no longer gonna have experts on your news station and then immediately invite Pete Hegseth. Touché, CBS
A CBS News staffer told me this after Tony Dokoupil kicked off his CBS Evening News tenure tonight with a lengthy Pete Hegseth interview:

"If this is what Bari and Tony’s CBS Evening News is going to look like, then the we may as well just call ourselves Trump Administration State TV. Pathetic."

I don’t understand how the first reaction from leadership isn’t “This is an impeachable offense. My colleagues must defund Hegseth and begin drafting articles immediately.”

Like, even if it doesn’t get done, how are you not planting this flag in the ground immediately?

Watching Trump speak and justify why the US is entitled to invade another country and kidnap the president makes me think that when we started talking about the “post-truth” era, we had no idea of how deeply post-truth it’d become.

Perception of reality is now random and optional.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Elliott Abrams specifically wants this, as does his network. It didn’t begin in Trump term two. Began with Iran-Contra and continued through multiple admins, including Bush and also Biden, who installed Abrams as an advisor in 2023. Same horrible people with same horrible plans for a half century.
Who specifically wants this? And why? It feels like more than just oil. I am not saying the reason is good or even rooted in reality, I just want know what it is. Is it just that some people have wanted this for a long time like they do with Iran?

Arc de Trump or Arch de Narcissism?

This isn’t about history or patriotism. It’s a psychological tell. A president so insecure and obsessed with himself that he needs monuments, and gold trim in order to feel like a king. And we’re forced to watch him spiral in real time.

During the 2024 election, Trump promised to release the Epstein files as part of a campaign message arguing the government was run by powerful people hiding the truth from Americans.

At the start of 2026, many people believe that Trump is now one of the powerful few keeping the public in the dark.
With few Epstein files released, conspiracy theories flourish and questions remain
President Trump's changing messaging, Congress' unprecedented demands and the Justice Department's piecemeal release of information haven't quieted the questions. Here's what we know — and don't.
