OK everyone this is really simple - Nazis bad. The end.
My neighborhood has a lot of Somali-Americans and never once have I been afraid of "roving gangs" out to get me. That's not a fucking thing! You know what those families do in my community? The same damn thing that any other family does - live their lives.

Correct
Immigration is a massive net positive for the US and always has been. Every argument against it is grounded in racism. Them's the breaks, kids. But you can't centrist your way out of this.

Yes. I love my diverse community and I'm frightened. My child just started kindergarten. The student body is ~20% white and I worry for the students and their families. To be clear - I have no problem with the demographic makeup; I see it as a positive.
Anyone else have the feeling that we’re on the verge of tipping into something far darker and far more barbaric that will bleed into our personal lives?

Correct and it has all been memory-holed. I just laugh when people suggest w/ a straight face that Dems can win by promising universal health care. Clearly none of you remember the 2009 health care town halls or anything that happened in the lead up to the passage of the ACA.
Whatever her other faults, Clinton spent her entire political career scheming to find ways to get as close to universal health coverage as possible and took repeated political defeats while trying. Then based on a vague reputation for centrism, people go, "Pfft. Didn't even try."

Every single Trump voter can rot in hell. Oh, and those agents who said "I'm just following orders"? Fuck you.

Corporate Media is going to pretend that Trump is heartbroken about the two West Virginian National Guardsmen being shot in DC, but the entire point of moving a standing army into a peaceful city was to induce violence by The People to justify more violence by Trump on The People in retaliation.

This is the way
Democrats should be the party of America restoration, focused on sweeping away every last vestige of Trump's seedy third-world tyranny and exacting cold retribution against people who have betrayed our country and its Constitution for their own self-enrichment

This is anecdotal of course but when I was in grad school out of state, this was my experience. I'm from the Twin Cities & pretty much every student from both coasts constantly bashed MN. They seemed to think we are all illiterate & uncultured, that there is nothing worth seeing/experiencing in MN.
More importantly, what's wrong with Cincinnati? Too many east coast and west coast liberals look down on literally the rest of the country and honestly, it's pretty fucking gross.

In the end DOGE saved negligible money and made government less efficient.

The only thing Elon accomplished was training his AI with government data.

I want all of these assholes to be held accountable. I will vote for anyone who vows to aggressively investigate and prosecute (if found to break the law). At the very least, every single employee of DOGE needs to be shunned from polite society.

I've decided that Addams Family Values can also serve as a Thanksgiving movie because of the summer campus production (and hilarious mutiny) of the first Thanksgiving. One of my favorite films of all time. The whole cast is great and Joan Cusack is legendary.

My Star Wars rankings - I enjoy them all. Yes, even Attack of the Clones, if only to laugh at the bad writing. Y'all take yourselves too seriously.

OK but what if you want more people to die preventable deaths?
6 people have died from a nationwide listeria outbreak.

31 babies have been hospitalized with botulism from contaminated baby formula.

Instead of firing crucial FDA employees & attacking the agency, Trump should be hiring more experts to crack down on these dangerous outbreaks.

Never. Only Dems have agency.
When Trump admin officials get asked why a certain sector of the economy is so bad, 90% of the time their answers begin with “we inherited.” Did everyone forget what Biden inherited in Jan 2021? Or what Obama inherited in Jan 2009? When are Republicans ever responsible?
November 24, 2025 at 5:37 PM
I think it's a little bit of both
I don’t think we need to be quite so cynical! I think people just mostly believe what they hear from their friends and other sources they trust, and if you tell them the economy is bad and no one can afford anything, they’re not going to check five years of purchase history to see if you’re wrong.
I mean I don't think Trump won because people were complaining about housing costs, I think he won because swing voters are vapid and selfish and just axiomatically assume a more punitive, austere economy is better for making them individually rich because they're bloodthirsty zero sum parasites.

Correct. I've been saying this for months. Money doesn't do you much good if the treatment you need doesn't exist! The rich cannot just set up their own research institutions to replace what is lost.
The crazy thing is, this is the stuff rich people really need the government to be doing. No matter how rich you are, you can't replicate the health benefits of the government doing major studies like this. But they don't care.
EXCLUSIVE: CDC to end all monkey studies. Decision handed down by recent college grad and former DOGE employee who is now deputy chief of staff at the agency. Animals were being used in studies of HIV prevention. Some may be euthanized. My latest for @science.org

I really have no idea how the "good guys" kept going during other periods of unspeakable horror and cruelty, and didn't collapse from tje weight of it all. I'm sure there were people who think of themselves as good (not the people referred to in first sentence) who said bullshit like...

For real, what the fuck is this bullshit
Getting a lot of "fake issue, doesn't matter" replies to this post and I gotta say, it certainly matters to me that so many members of the Dem House caucus are credulous dupes.
