this isn't a sympathy seeking post but somebody I was once very close with in my early 20's and had a falling out with recently died. it is such an unusual grief to process. somebody you no longer spoke to. I don't "wish we had made up" as our falling out was valid. Just so strange.

Not an amazing race viewer but have long thought about how impossible it is to be an equitable competition because you can’t control the variable of society members who affect the game
When you watch the race, think about the worst case scenario for how an ignorant person might treat any specific racer and know that it is happening more often than the edit is showing you.
The cameras and the fast paced encounters can really encourage lots of bystanders to be at their worst.
