The term "Americanism" was then embraced by the KKK that was resurgent in the 1920s. A group called the "Americanist Educational League" was founded in 1927 (it still exists, btw) by a guy who would go on to be the leading voice for Japanese internment in WWII

Avoid buying counterfeit items - look closely at all images of the item, packaging and label for mistakes. If the price seems too good to be true, the product could be counterfeit and unsafe.

so our government made a big deal about banning speed cameras but one city left theirs running to see what difference the ban would make and you are not going to believe this
But according to data shared by Coun. Rowena Santos — collected by speed cameras that were no longer distributing tickets but which were still capturing vehicle speeds - Brampton saw 71,258 speeding incidents from Nov. 16 to Nov. 22 in the areas where cameras were located. That compares to 31,581 incidents the week prior when the cameras were still distributing tickets.

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

On June 21, 1970, a seven-man court-martial in Da Nang sentenced Michael Schwartz to imprisonment for life.

Private Schwartz, from Weirton, West Virginia, was 21 and married, with a three-year-old son.

This is a phenomenal example of how people advocating for the "character of the neighborhood" are often actually advocating to *change* the character to be less dense and more suburban. Which, if you go play with the city's n'hood GIS explorer, is what has happened all over Boston!
Nearby residents who opposed the proposal cited all the variances the proposal needed - for number of floors, lot width, overall building size and lack of parking on a lot zoned for a two-family house - and its locationon a narrow street with a sharp curve and frequently full parking spaces as proof the new building would prove a menace that would only further drive longtime residents away. Arlene Simon, who lives down the street, said there's a reason the property has been vacant for more than five decades - it's just too small to allow construction that would not infringe on the privacy of surrounding homes. But also, its location right at a dogleg turn on Alpha would make it impossible to allow construction vehicles to linger on the block safely. Plus, once construction was done, "parking on the street is impossible as it stands," she said, adding the street already has constant problems with people parking in front of hydrants.
