A fully handmade Zelda themed leather shoulder bag on a black table. The bag is made from stiff leather that has been dyed brown. The shaped is kind of like a shield with a flat bottom, allowing it to stand. The side of the bag is made from softer, green leather. The bag has a flap, which closes with a bronze coloured lock. The flap is decorated with a tooled on image of a winged triforce with the mastersword behind the triforce. The decoration is painted bronze with a golden triforce. The bag is surrounded by the strap made from the same brown leather. The strap is adjustable, with a buckle and four holes. The hole side has four differently coloured rupees tooled and painted on it, as well as Navi the fairy. On the buckle strap, there is a black rupoor. The bag is about 30 centimeters tall. It is cut, dyed, tooled, painted, and stitched by hand by me. Not visible is the backside, on which I tooled and painted five heart containers, of which 3.5 are full.

Happy Winter Solstice!

Beer can, pinhole camera photos of the Summer to Winter Solstice (2024) and the Winter to Summer Solstice (2025).

You never know quite what you're going to get with these photos, set the beer can pointing towards the sun at hopefully the correct angle and wait 6 months!
A pinhole camera photo taken from Summer to Winter Solstice. It's a bit blurry as the aperture was made with a tiny needle and no focus mechanism. There are yellow to green lines across the photo, that's the Sun moving across the sky over the course of a day. The top line is from the Summer Solstice, the bottom line from the Winter Solstice. Cloudy days don't have any lines or broken lines as the Sun was obscured by clouds. There are some trees on the left, right and in the background. A house with two cars in the drive are visible almost in the center of the photo. The lines are made from the Sun moving across the sky with the bottom line being the Winter Solstice and the top line the Summer solstice. The lines are mostly a white color with some hints of blue, green and yellow in places. Some of the colors could be from rain or snow staining the paper I was using. It's a 6 month long exposure taken with a beer can pinhole camera, it shows the sun's movement across the sky during that time period, each day the Sun scribes a line on the paper in the pinhole camera. The bottom line is Dec 21 2024 and the top line is 20 June 2025. This kind of photo makes the movement of the Sun during the day into visible trails on the paper in the camera. There is a long orange-yellow arc going across the paper showing the whole 6 months. There is a shadow of my tree on the image, the tree blossomed during the exposure. Shades of blue and pink are on the paper too. There is a black kind of semi circle at the top of the image, that's where the water was disintegrating the top part of the paper.

Here’s a tip for graphic designers: if you include the “weakest” option in your pitch the client will choose it 9 times out of 10. If you include something you hate they will choose that option. They can’t help themselves. They don’t do it consciously but they’ll do it

For day 21 of #ArtAdventCalendar, a nail meme i painted on my nails! The original imagery for the meme is taken from Disney’s Fantasia, when the demon Chernabog is summoning ghosts and fire demons.
A close up of my thumb nail (unfortunately not as crisp as I’d like since I forgot to take a photo of it and had to screen grab this from a video!). The background is a gradient of dark to light blue nail polish with small silver holographic glitters. Over that is painted a black silhouette of the demon with his wings and arms raised above him, claws out. His eyes are glowing yellow slits, and I used blue cremes to highlight some of the muscles in his arms and wings. Binders are the ONLY safe way to hide your chest as much as possible. Without binders, transmasculine folks have historically used dangerous methods such as bandages or duct tape, which are very harmful. Binder technology has revolutionized life for transmascs. They really hate us so much.
