People have been brainwashed into believing that government in 🇺🇸“doesn’t work,” and never has.
But it does, thanks to institutions like the Government Accoutability Office (GAO).
This is a key hinge to be smashed, for the self-fulfilling prophecy of making government not work.

I think destroying GAO - which is full of embedded knowledge of how government works and does superb, nonpartisan research- would be an absolute priority for Trump. Best we can hope for, I guess, is that they can slow-walk the nomination of a replacement until after November 2026.

"Get the principals on camera" is such a telling phrase here, because it tells us that for Weiss there's no world in which the victims of these horrific actions can actually be seen as the subjects of the story: They're background noise, and the people who matter are the ones sending them.

Bari Weiss is the logical endpoint of corporate media. This is what happens when people who hate journalism are in charge of it. Hate to say it, but you should no longer trust anything from CBS News. I'm sure there are great reporters there trying to do honest work, but how can we know anymore? If they're willing to kill a Trump-critical 60 Minutes segment at the order of Bari Weiss, it's been over.

Don’t forget. Biden’s DoJ was investigating uncharged third parties in the Epstein files up until the last minute. Trump shut down the investigation, sent the files to DC, & fired the prosecutors. They went through them, redacted Trump’s name, then elected not to release them and closed the matter.
