Tomorrow we get to watch people misquote Martin Luther King Jr as a way to convince Black people to be calm, docile, and nonviolent in the face of violent oppression.

I’m tired already.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

Pittsburgh Trans Rights Advocates Ride for Justice to the Supreme Court
This morning, a group of trans advocates and allies from Pittsburgh loaded up a bus and rolled straight into the heart of the nation’s capital to demand justice on the steps of the Supreme Court of the United States. And they did not come quietly. The vibrant Pittsburgh crew joined hundreds of others from across the country in the “Together We Win: Fight for the T in Team” rally organized around the Supreme Court's hearing of BPJ v.

There are lots of reasons to compare what is happening now to Nazi Germany and there are also lots of reasons to compare what is happening now to the post-1850 Fugitive Slave Act U.S. and it's *weird* how people respond with interest to the former but total confusion to the latter

I've said this before but it is absolutely outrageous that jurors don't get paid at least minimum wage. the right to a jury of your peers is ensconced in the constitution and this means the jury needs to be diverse wrt socioeconomic status! nobody working an hourly job can afford a day off for this
was prepared to do jury duty but in pittsburgh they pay $9/day and they give you coupons for lunch at local restaurants. absolutely fuck this class warfare ass shit. pulling my cptsd card for being on the witness stand when i was 8 years old and my dad killed my grandparents shortly after. fuck this

From a good friend in Minneapolis: "Target is allowing ICE to stage in their parking lots, use their restrooms, and abduct people from inside their stores - so if you weren’t boycotting already, now is the time." They were staging in Chicago as well.

the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches
