This is a very, very good concise refutation of both the dishonest right and the grifty centrist people who make the temperature point.
WELKER: Do you bear any responsibility to bring down the temperature?

FREY: Of course. But I dropped an F bomb and they killed somebody. I think the killing somebody is the inflammatory element here and not the F bomb.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

The President of the United States appears to be getting regular IV infusions, the public doesn’t know anything about it, & the DC media evidently doesn’t care.

We are months into the mystery of Trump’s hands, the White House is lying, & I’ve seen a grand total of one serious news story about it.
Trump looked pretty rough today -- note that both of his hands are discolored

The Olivia Nuzzi story and the Bari Weiss at CBS story are the same story, which is that the upper echelons of legacy media are absolutely rife with people who worship power and don't feel burdened by any sense of responsibility to their profession or the public.

“it’s reasonable to ask questions about trans girls in sports” was always intended to mainstream transphobia.

It’s absurd that people fell for it. Democrats are constantly letting oppressors set the terms of debate instead of just saying “no, fuck you.”

Stop saying “DEI” or “equity-related.”

Stop using the words they choose to mask their vile racist ideology with the language of those they hate.

Say they want to remove any books that speak to the lives of anyone who isn’t white, straight, Christian, or male.

Name the hate. Make them own it.

He can't stay awake. Or walk. Or speak. I'm so sick of the GOP denial. The embarrassing flattery parades. The complicit press standing silent while he drones on incomprehensibly or insults colleagues who dare to question his lies. Or laughing obligatorily at his non-jokes. I'm just so tired of it.

Progressive leaders really need to seize this moment to spell out how all of this is not just a failure of the Trump administration specifically, but of conservative governance as a whole. This is *what they want.* This is *what their vision looks like.*

The truly maddening thing is that, unlike when I was a young man in science and the materials and engineering just weren’t there yet, the future is *right there.* The problem is *solved*. What’s holding us back is not just greed, but this bizarre nostalgia, an obsession with petro- masculinity.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.
