Here is Pete Hegseth, on several occasions in 2016, lauding the military "ethos" that means they will refuse to follow unlawful orders - which he reckons is treason, now that they are his orders - because "there have to be consequences for abject war crimes".

Deserves to go viral.

Grid bottlenecks aren’t a failure of the energy transition — they’re proof it’s working.

Renewables got cheap fast, and now the grid has to catch up. Time to build the wires for the clean energy system we already have.

Not clear whose "deal" it was, but Putin was always likely to reject anything that doesn't reward Russia's aggression.

The more important thing to take away is that Russia's economy is on the road to collapse.

Let's not fail Ukraine before it gets there!

Heavy despair today. Everywhere you look, the worst of our species seems in the ascendant.
Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.
