I have a lot of respect for the Knives Out movies just as an exercise in people making solid B+ level entertainment where everyone seems to be enjoying the experience without it needing it to win Oscar’s or make 3 billion dollars. It’s like going to a good steakhouse.

finally saw The Green Book, and while there are valid critiques of that movie I did not realize how much seeing Viggo Mortensen play a huge greaseball Italian was missing from my life. Seeing him house an entire pizza after rolling it in half, like a monster, really did something for me.

Factions of "the left" want to be accepted in public places regardless of who they are (race, gender ID, etc). While the right demands praise and deferrence in public spaces based on their beliefs. Its not enough to live and let live, they have to win the social engagement, be proven superior

There isnt much difference between dairy farming and beef farming really. As a dairy farmer i was flat broke, stressed constantly, and often severely injured.
Now as a beef farmer i have an off-farm 9-5 and feel like the worlds biggest, shittiest failure
