While I appreciate the women writing threads about M/M romance, I would love it if y'all stopped describing these readers and authors as "women (and women-adjacent)". Nonbinary folks aren't woman-adjacent or woman-lite. It's a huge umbrella with a lot of variation. We are our own thing.

I missed the networking discourse, did anyone talk about the fact that during BLM Black creators and academics were reached out to in record numbers and then when we thought we had solidarity it vanished? I mentioned how the reception is akin to Crash and a guy crashed out telling me I didn’t know how to watch movies. Shit was hilarious.
Oh yeah, it's a thing. There was a great article in Defector critiquing the abysmal racial politics of that film. And the comments were instantly swarmed by a drove of middle-aged white leftist bros screaming at the (Black) reviewer for having the temerity to question it.
