Renee Nicole Good was killed while trying to protect her neighbors. I will remember her name forever.

Already seeing "i'm a boy mom, don't disrespect our Glorious Troops, you will make my sensitive boy cry while he's doing war crimes"

I miss those 3 or so years in the late aughts when we were all pretty sure there was not going to be any more star wars ever again.

Gonna be very funny if it turns out not funding Jodorowsky’s Dune was the exact world-historical wrong turn that led us here.

While I totally sympathize with what you’re saying, here in Iowa all of the people that go to the movies on Christmas are generally pig faced WASPs coming to see The SpongeBob Movie and throwing temper tantrums at service workers
we have this exotic thing here that maybe hasn’t made it ‘across the pond’ yet it’s called jewish people

A movie recommendation. CUTTER'S WAY (AKA CUTTER AND BONE) (1981) is my favourite neo-noir, a furiously bitter portrait of three completely broken people who stumble into a murder mystery and turn it into a hopeless crusade. It's tragic and whip-smart and mean, and i love it.

If you are a @fruitlessmedia.bsky.social patron you can hear me yelling for nearly 6 hours today about Christmas music and Kevin Smith, if you want.

That Chris D’Elia character from Workaholics might accidentally be the best media portrayal of Epstein we’ll ever get.

The system that created Epstein, protected him, and let him thrive for decades, still exists. His market of powerful monsters still exists, and they're still being protected.

There is definitely, right now, someone serving the same role he did, being protected the same way by the same people.

I love working at the Department of Justice and participating in a conspiracy to cover up the demented 80 year old president's sex crimes. I spend 18 hours a day redacting documents and there's a putrid husk where my soul used to be

The running theme between the Epstein story, banning trans healthcare for minors, religious homeschooling and the complaints about adult children estranging themselves is a fundamental American belief that children are property with no rights of their own
America is a culture of child abuse. Ask any survivor - we find one another, we form networks and communities.

The true scale of it would stagger and sicken you, and so it is buried, it is swept under the rug, it is denied and the survivors are silenced by whatever means are necessary.
Government of pedophiles. They're all tainted with this for the rest of their lives.

I think there’s been a push to equate “smartness” with “goodness”. Instead of solving social problems, like industrial waste in the water supply, you demonstrate your goodness by smartly buying the correct water purifier, or perhaps living in the correct zip code.
feels like there's been a big push to abandon anything like humanistic moral values, christian charity, or basic decency, but we're all supposed to be very obsessed with what is in our food and water, unless it's a chemical that's demonstrably toxic, then we need to let industry dump it into rivers

Hey everyone, I really hate doing this, but my girlfriend and I are going to be short a few hundred dollars on some bills that are coming up in a few days. If you'd be able to kick a few dollars our way, it would be greatly appreciated.
