It's crazy that if you have the first principle "human ethnic groups, physical differences aside, are not different in terms of mental capacity or 'inherent' personality traits" you are woker than 90% of the people who work for supposedly liberal media organizations.

this is the entire reason we are fucking fighting for our freedoms here. the fact that you have convinced yourself it was always this bad does not make it true. you are now in danger of the government pretextually arresting you because the government is now corrupt in a way it wasn’t before

Honestly, I think Obama might be a top five president in hindsight simply because it turned out this country was a shithole powderkeg and he managed to ride the tiger for eight years somehow. Last Roman type of thing.
I think Obama was vindicated in the long run because the ACA endured against all odds while Bidenomics was rejected in favor of fascism by the electorate.
*taps mic*
in terms of passing policies that improve peoples lives particularly at the bottom of the SES ladder, Joe Biden was the best president of my lifetime

Quite literally, there are about a dozen scandals under Trump II that are worse than the worst scandals in all of 🇺🇸 political history. Add in the ongoing familial/personal monetization of the presidency, the violation of our UN & NATO treaty obligations with 🇨🇦 & 🇬🇱/🇩🇰, & the murder on the high seas.
Of the biggest scandals in US history just this week, I think I’d rank them:

1) Federal paramilitaries invade US city based on racist lies, murder US citizens

2) Slush fund for the president from stolen foreign resources held in Qatar

3) Whatever FBI and DNI are doing re: 2020 election in Georgia

I am truly not sure to do with the fact that Jeffries can demand express statutory authorization for states to prosecute ICE agents and because some random website didn’t put that in the headline nobody knows about it, and in fact get mad at him for not demanding the thing he is actively demanding

Honestly it's one of the most underrated features of the coordinated conservative propaganda machine: they can do stuff like make gay marriage the number one social issue in American politics for 10 years in a row, then, as soon as the polling turns, completely abandon it, and the base just forgets!
I know the phrase “Someday everyone will have been against this,” but ngl I didn’t expect to see this kind of reversal from the chuddiest little freaks happening so quickly.

*sobs* it's all Bad Calvinism
Ultimately, it is always about a call to reach ever-greater heights of radicality, all in the name of a totalizing end goal that is often explained in nebulous terms. Which is the point, as it can only exist in the realm of discourse, or as discourse itself.

Corporations do not exist in free markets. Corporations get a *license* from the STATE to do business as a legally fictional corporate entity rather than a partnership. As such, regulation of corporate behaviour--including pricing in some cases--is a fundamental part of the state's responsibility.
