I love @bjcolangelo.bsky.social and @harmonycolangelo.bsky.social for allowing me into the wonderful space they've created.

Speaking frankly, I hope folks enjoy this @thisendsatprom.bsky.social because these are some of my favorite people talking about art on the web.

I love @thisendsatprom.bsky.social, and covering Seventeen Again was an absolute joy. ❤️

I hope you all have as much fun listening to this episode as @bjcolangelo.bsky.social, @harmonycolangelo.bsky.social, and I did!
It’s show announcement Sunday! This week we’re collaborating with Free Space and talking about SEVENTEEN AGAIN, the Mowry sibling Showtime movie that you probably thought was a DCOM with our bestie, @sumitlakehornet.bsky.social Episode drops on Thursday!

I don't really know if Lifetime movies are for me but there is at least a lot I respect about about The Pregnancy Pact. It is a lot more honest about sexual repression and teen pregnancy than most other movies, coming-of-age or not.
NEW EP: THE PREGNANCY PACT

A ripped-from-the-headlines Lifetime drama that has us wondering why so many people are obsessed with stories about teen girls behaving "badly," and asking where the line is between entertainment and exploitation.

It’s #TransgenderAwarenessWeek! Did you know that it’s so unlikely for a podcast host to be trans that statistics on it are inconclusive? And its even LESS likely if the show isn’t explicitly ABOUT transness?

At This Ends at Prom we got @harmonycolangelo.bsky.social, a girl who can do both.

Culturally speaking, I think "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness is the "Take On Me" of its era.

I hate having to do this but I’m desperate. I’ve been looking everyday for work but nothing is biting. I’m down $80 and I can’t afford my very needed meds and I definitely can’t afford my home when the first comes next month. I’m drowning in medical debt. Anything helps.

The Brady Bunch Movie, in many of its ways, is a drag performance of dorky, suburban Americana. Yet, it really does love the Bradys so much in the good natured ribbing befitting the Bunch.

Just a perfect comedy that lives in my very DNA.
NEW EP: THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE

MARICA, MARCIA, MARCIA!! 30 years ago, Hollywood lovingly spoofed THE BRADY BUNCH and gave us one of the great cult-hits of the decade. To sweeten the deal, the film is also centered on the quintessential middle child, Jan Brady.

We mentioned it in the episode but the gatefold of this album is what Rocky Horror is about and fills me with so much warmth. Carrying the legacy and spirit of other fans who are no longer with us.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is THE most significant queer film ever made. Forever and always.

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.
