The denial of medical treatment for trans individuals will be looked on with the same disgust as we now do with barbaric homophobic policies of the past which saw the likes of Alan Turing destroyed. That doesn't help the people being harmed by it now.

The fact that teens think it's been a negative influence in their peers' lives could reflect their own experience but could also reflect the fact that there is a *huge panic about teens and smartphones going on.* They might just be reflecting adults' anxieties back to them.
