Is NHSE forcing young people to detransition?
The minutes of a meeting, leaked to NWBylines, strongly indicate NHSE does not want the prescribing of puberty blockers at WellBN to continue

Just a heads up with all the Christmas markets and fairs on at the moment - if you see art or art-based pieces for sale, ask who the artist is, because the amount of people deceptively slapping "made locally" on pieces locally farted out by their computer and a genAI prompt is getting depressing

Zen complaining about “woke ideology” suggests to me she’s been complaining about “woke” stuff behind the scenes for a hot minute now, the question I have is whether she realized this kind of outfit would be controversial or not. I believe she’s crashing out but revealing some things in the process

Gonna put in my usual statement of "having no politics is in of itself a political statement" but in addition to that YOU CANNOT be trying to claim no politics while actively adopting the aesthetics of a political party

Even if they claim it's just "a dictator" it's clear exactly what they took

This is as good as this stuff will ever be, this is the phase where we're all supposed to be getting hooked in to this disruptive new thing. Once the free money dries up and they have to turn a profit, it will inevitably get worse and worse
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?

Tax rich people and massive corporations. Provide universal basic income and healthcare. It's okay for them to have a bit less money and for the rest of us to have a bit more money. We'll spend it back to them anyway. They'll live. We'll all live. As a RIGHT.
Just think it’s a bit weird that society has been brainwashed in to thinking that rich people and massive corporations having a bit less money is the main thing we need to avoid no matter what.

There's something enthralling to me about how much Stranger Things sucks. Like specifically how this show felt so fresh and creative and genuine when it first came out and how if they went with an anthology series of different casts and supernatural threats it would be an iconic work of american TV

We’re lucky that for a very long time, in many parts of the anime and manga industry, it was about quality. What can we do to produce the best we can for our customers?

With Big Business, now, it’s about profit margins, and how much they can sacrifice before their bottom line suffers.

Yeah, this lines with some stuff I've heard over the years - big-corpo execs have been looking for something, anything that'll let them fatten the margins because most anime fans are accustomed to having publishers that give a fuck about them and cater to them... which makes line go up slower.
I wouldn’t say they hate their customers. They just like money more.

To quote an industry exec I met at an event this year, “Why spend extra money for 100% quality when you can make the same profit with 60% quality?”

It’s about the minimum viable product. Of course it is; they’re businesspeople.
The people in charge of these companies hate their customers.

it's depressing seeing the 'gender critical' party making a big deal of how they're fighting back on violence against women.

labour mps are such gaslighters.

you can't be fighting violence against women and 'gender critical' at the same time. 'gender critical' is a misogynist movement.

And don't forget the knee!

rich dudes got freakier after butlers fell out of fashion, like say what you will about having domestic servants but clearly it was some sort of moderating force on old rich dudes having a fancy man follow you around saying shit like "oh dear sir, that wouldn't be very becoming"
