A lion is a hilarious animal mascot for the bathroom monitor lady because if a female lion is exposed to testosterone, she will in fact develop the appearance and behavior of a male.

Amplify this more. Elon has no ability to assess downstream consequences of his decisions because he knows nothing about govt besides what can be fed into an algorithm.

Really smart people have residency t for what they don’t know. The willingness to learn is a key quality of the truly brilliant.
Can confirm. Former USAID here, and I’ve been approached twice in the last 30 days.

Maybe literally one fucking American newspapers could mention this in their, “think pieces,” about what happened yesterday.

The richest man in the world calls people who get help from government programs the “parasite class.”

But Medicaid’s beneficiaries aren’t parasites. Half of them are children.

If we’re talking about people who depend on government, Elon Musk is the biggest “parasite” of all.

Those are brownshirts and concentration camps and the people writing these stories need to start calling them what they are.
A group of prominent military contractors, including former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince, has pitched the Trump White House on a proposal to carry out mass deportations through a network of “processing camps” on military bases and a “small army” of private citizens empowered to make arrests.
Documents reveal how military contractors want to take over mass deportations
The group, led by Blackwater veteran Erik Prince, has close Trump ties.

This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this.

The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".

Tonight we proposed an amendment to ensure that the Republican budget doesn’t raise prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare.

And guess what? Republicans blocked it — just like they opposed us when we gave Medicare the power to lower drug prices.

CFPB is cheap to run & delivers billions to victims of corporate scams. It’s the definition of value for money.

But X & Meta hate it because it targets big tech fraud.

DOGE is not about waste. It’s about enriching the oligarchy.

Musk's "deferred resignation" contract is a TRAP.

Anyone who signs it WAIVES all rights to pursue legal action against the government -- including TO ENFORCE THE RESIGNATION AGREEMENT ITSELF.

So Musk and Trump can just break the contract, and there's nothing you can do.

US farmers sold $2 billion of food to USAID. Not any more.

- US farmers provided 41% of food delivered by USAID
- $340M of purchases/shipments are now paused. Over 680,000 tonnes.
- Food stranded in Houston
- Aid stopped in transit.

The world’s poor starving, food rotting & US farmers screwed.
Gutting USAID threatens billions of dollars for U.S. farms, businesses
U.S. businesses that sold goods and services to USAID are in limbo, including American farms dealing in rice, wheat and soybeans.

To be clear: the White House didn't tell these organizations to do any of these things. They sent a missive telling them to stop "DEI" and people jumped to find creative ways to be shitty to women, minorities, and disabled people.

If you are one of those people, you are bad and you should feel bad.
Unquestionably, major policy changes, edicts and directives handed down by the new Trump administration will upend lives. But I've also been struck by the widespread efforts to erase/whitewash history. Stick with me for a pretty shocking series of events from just the past few weeks.
