Since this is a relatively new place for many of us, I wanna take a minute to recommend that all of us in creative fields try a little harder to use it to support each other’s works. I tried on other platforms and I felt like only a smattering of friends really did the same.

"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

The Central Park lawn directly west of my apartment is where they stacked the bodies. But sure, let’s keep listening to nuts like MTG talk about fake, anecdotal, “friend-of-a-friend had a side-effect” stories.
It amazes me how many people have forgotten what 2020 was like

Every single person who ever got a vaccine suffered a puncture wound in their shoulder! True story!
BLITZER: Are you still against the covid vaccine? Because the other day I got the covid booster and the flu shot
MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I am opposed, Wolf, and I'm opposed because I know so many people who had vaccine injuries

Setting aside how much he’s lying, imagine any other American leader going, “I don’t wanna hear it” about a problem they’re supposed to solve. If robots don’t completely take over all writing, humanity will write thousands of pages on why people swallowed so much shit from this guy.
Trump: "I don't want to hear about the affordability, because right now we're much less. If you look at energy, we're getting close to $2 a gallon gasoline."

If you’d asked me five years ago if Trump would stop dying his hair or his skin first, I really wouldn’t have been able to pick. Fascinating.

What’s going on with his hair? 😂 (also: bullshit)

Guy has never cared about anyone but himself. Not even his children. Oh, except Jeffrey Epstein. He drew him pictures and wrote him fawning notes.
incredible photo that's definitely worth at least 1,000 words from Andrew Harnik of Getty

It was an extra gratifying night, thinking about the women like Lindsey who Cuomo abused, not having to suffer through him having a comeback.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

Watching the rich react to the idea that society may not completely cater to them, as if it’s equally offensive as when the poor have to contend with society constantly and actively trying to make them dead is…wild.

Socialism isn’t about wanting things “for free.” The power of it as an idea is that we have a fundamental right to live, and that whatever economic system is in use shouldn’t pick winners and losers at BEING ALIVE.

Upside (“up”?) is that the administration’s response to this won’t be to recognize the people dislike their agenda and try to move in line with our priorities. They’ll be 100x more vengeful and evil and radicalize so many more people against them in the next 12 months.
serious note: they're gonna try 5x harder to sabotage the midterms after tonight and we're gonna have to organize on a literally historic scale to stop them
really obvious now why trump and the republican party have been working so hard to prevent fair elections lol they know

No no no, did he pre-cope in private? Not fair, we deserve at least 4 paragraphs where the feelings shine through

I like to think that there was one, sad fucker out there who just couldn’t decide and kept thinking, “If only I knew who CHUCK liked!”
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?
Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

Zoran’s win is a sign. It’s a manifestation of the will of the people, saying ‘no more bullshit.’ We’re sick of the establishment ‘left’ that every other first world democracy would consider center-right.
Do you want cool shit like Canada/Australia have? Elect more people like AOC & Zoran.

Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.
