One immediate observation re: MLB is there isn’t a single team valued under $1B so any ‘small market’ owners looking for pity like they’re running a mom & pop dry goods store can simply choose to sell & make room for an owner who wants to win.

American sports thinks that the audience has to be constantly stimulated and assaulted from all senses. It’s really ridiculous going to sporting events and realizing that there’s not one moment where you’re not being overwhelmed by something.
Think my oldest person belief is "you don't always need to blast music in between the action at a sporting event"
