Living with grief is weird. Things hit you when you're not expecting. Been through it before but not so out in the open, where people can see. I know this will pass, and the worst bits probably have but I've never broken like I have a few times recently crying my eyes out. I don't know what to say

Adam Ant is 71 today. Hard to emphasise how seismic this was in playgrounds across the country in 1980. For a period he was as big as any act has been. Was he the perfect pop star? I think so. It couldn't last but if you were there you'll never forget it.
