From wildfire warnings to flood forecasts, NCAR's research impacts everyone in America.

President Trump's attempt to dismantle it for political vengeance is beyond reckless.

We will fight against this dangerous scheme every step of the way.

I was just at the gym watching a The Wire s2 episode, and came back to this awful news. Ransone was incredible in that season — so believable as the screw-up determined to live down to everyone's low opinion of him. And great in almost everything else I saw him do. RIP.

Saturdays are for sewers! Or… where else does my poop go? This week I spent a morning under 10th St., working with our @cityofsaintpaul.bsky.social Public Works crews to clean one of our old sanitary sewer tunnels. It was really rewarding work. And really tiring. Highlights:🧵 1/

This is spot on until I got to the part where he should have cited @arvindpawan1.bsky.social’s work on LNG.
This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

I've been working on a project on wastewater and I have so much new respect for folks who work at treatment plants. There are so many combination of configurations of how plants operate and there is constant innovation in how to produce more usable biosolids and generate energy.
Wastewater flushed down the drain can be used to heat and cool homes and buildings in a sustainable way and climate experts say it's an untapped source of energy due to its stable temperature of approximately 70°F.

You know you are breathing but you feel like you are suffocating. This is such a tragedy.
"At just 2 weeks old, Feleena Owens was struggling to breathe.
The newborn was coughing so badly, her skin turned a sickly gray-blue color. Her face contorted as she tried to gulp air. 'I think the longest she would stop breathing was about 10, 11 seconds,' said her mother."
