Lynne Ahrens was a 22 year old guitar-playing secretary/copywriter at the advertising firm of McCaffrey & McCall when she was asked by producer George Newell if she’d like to contribute songs to the new Schoolhouse Rock project.

She wrote and sang “No More Kings.”

Think of her this weekend.

When I say "Chicago" I don't mean "The Bear", I mean like Magikist.
When I say "Chicago" I don't mean "The Bear", I mean like the Artists of the Wall benches at Loyola Beach
When i say "Chicago" I don't mean "the Bear" I mean like the bathrooms in the Fireside Bowl.

It was indeed thrilling to hear this badly needed level of “no, please be specific” and not letting go.
Some pretty stunning answers here from DHS Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar in today's interview with NPR's Michel Martin, in which Edgar equates pro-Palestinian protests with terrorist activity and can't point to any crime committed by Mahmoud Khalil: npr.org/2025/03/13/n...

Much as #Nosferatu depicts the duality of harboring both higher and baser natures, I was both in awe of its virtuoso coloring techniques and immediately rhyming “fang” with “wang.”

License plates with URLs where state names would be: how’s that working? Really getting the word out? “This red light is so boring. But what’s this… ‘www.myflorida.com,’ eh? What’s this ‘Florida’ all about? If it’s got all the erratic moves and undue closeness of this driver, I am IN.”

Agreed -- "Zero Effect" has not been seen enough. Perfectly cast leads and a fun piece of irritable-yet-wounded '90s noir.
