I shared this with my SO, saying: This is one of the biggest problems with generative AI. It lies constantly and confidently.

SO: like men?? That could be a problem. 🤔

Today is the four year anniversary of Starbucks Workers United unionizing its first store.

Since then, they've won over 650 union elections but Starbucks still hasn't negotiated a fair union contract.

Until then, don't cross the picket line. Show solidarity like Bernie and Zohran.

I mean yes this is funny, but the fact that these unconstitutional stormtroopers are so directionless that they literally stand around waiting for random nonwhite delivery guys to bike past them is just pathetic. No mandate, no mission, no clue. Just racism.
ICE attempted
and failed to disappear a food delivery guy.
It needed to be scored.

This captures a lot of what I've been feeling as well. I've read some history and various opinion pieces, but I know I probably don't have the full picture. However, nothing I've seen explains what's going on other than genocide.

The actual quote is both not as bad as this and worse. He wasn't talking about all black women, but was definitely saying that about 4 of the most successful and intelligent black women in politics (including Obama). And he continues...

There’s an enormous amount of stuff in this book I’d like to highlight, but start with:

“What emerges as the most elementary insight is that, since we do not now have any ways of making computers wise, we ought not now to give computers tasks that demand wisdom.”

Here are the weapons & shell casings he left behind.

This is a wonderful series of threads. The one that led to this is quite clarifying to me. The one that spun off by @clairewillett.bsky.social is insightful and hopeful in all the right ways. And the OP by @rincewind.run is a great warning signal not to get too swept up by the Newsome train.
It is THE test. It should not be that complicated for people to understand that the message is unshakeable civil rights and healthcare justice for all. And you can message around that. Say "while different groups have different concerns, the core message of equality and access for all is the same."
