In times past, loyalty to the cause of the populace was to be found everywhere. The will of the Pear Mesa Budget Committee was the will of everyone.

sometimes it doesn't matter whether or not your partner yells at you every day of 2019-2021 that writing a dissertation is worthless because by the end there really were only 2 jobs in your field in the whole world and 1 went to your advisor so you quit and spend 3 years trying to find fulltime work
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

bsky.app/profile/fidd... whenever I see this lidl brand, I am haunted by their discontinued "popcorn flavoured coffee drink", sold in a foil-sealed cup. it both looked and tasted like something provided to astronauts, to be drunk in case of emergency should they need to die immediately.
This whole brand is all about "American-style" snacks. These are definitely my favourite, sort of like savoury Peanut Butter Puffs cereal, but in cheese-puff form factor.

So opens the new issue of @yourimpossiblevoice.com—with "Leeuwenhoeuk's Lens", a mini-novel from @geoliminal.bsky.social, of Toadstones and Hellarkey fame, that rattles along with the pace of a great espionage thriller, working in the history of microscopy and a touch of Lovecraft in the process.
