It's not "unexpected", as anybody who has been carded at the store for buying any number of things (such as spray paint) for years could've told you. It's just expanding the in-person surveillance to online.

While some people keep calling this place an echo chamber, most people recognize that it's just... a nicer, better place to communicate with others.
Time to give @bluesky props. As I write this, there are 560 quotes and replies to the post below.

Of those only 4 call me names and give me shit. About 15 do the same towards Trump.

The remaining 541 are on topic and add value.

It’s a battle of political leverage. Who can use tariffs, retaliatory tariffs or sanctions to create more political pain for the other leader. Forcing them to capitulate or face undesired consequences.

How crazy would it be if China, Mexico and/or Canada initiated tariffs before Trump took office

People dressed as Nazis are Nazis this isn't a street performance of Sound of Music
“Police responded at 1:12 p.m. to a report that one of the people in the group sprayed pepper spray or mace at a passerby. Callers reported the group was using racial slurs at minorities on the street, shouting about Jewish people and white power and appeared to be armed, police dispatchers said.”

the fact that this is a thing which needs to be explained and is not just... intuitively understood by policymakers or indeed people write large is a problem that I think I'm going to have to start to tackle.
4. All power generation technology requires upstream mining to make stuff that then lasts for decades without requiring any additional mining. Only fossil-fired plants require continues mining and upstream pollution on a 24/7, continuous basis as long as the generator is operating.

Step 1: Elon takes over Twitter, unbans and amplifies the worst white nationalist posters, methodically turns it into a right wing echo chamber.

Step 2: Users who aren’t white nationalists or MAGA extremists leave for Bluesky en masse.

Step 3: op-ed columnists fret, “is Bluesky an echo chamber?”

You can't understand this election without grappling with the penetration of right-wing propaganda into every corner of American intellectual life.

I'm watching Kimmel's monologue and it might be among the most effective tools for the somehow still undecided.

Recaps a lot of stuff and makes it clear why it's all so stupid form a behavior and character perspective. Could be worth a share.
