As parents and uncles all you could ever wish for is that those you raise have a world where they can feel safe and then you have people like this, who put those fears at ease. No amount of gold could measure this value. And this is why I’m thankful.
My besties have a niece who's a recently out trans gal going to art school in NYC and her mom asked if I could look out for her if she ever needed anything. I invited her to have Thanksgiving with us and it was a BLAST. I think fill-in auntie to adorable trans kids is my true calling.

I truly despise the use of AI. It’s so dumb and lazy to use it.
Researchers are now saying that AI can find correlations between facial characteristics and success on the job.

The Economist says that corporations would have a “strong incentive” to deploy this technology when looking at applicants.

I am so fascinated with Curtis Sliwa. They did a video of him at his house that I couldn’t believe wasn’t a parody. He has 17 cats. He opened the closet and 3 fell out.

The John Candy documentary was great. Also it was a whole movie of people only saying kind things about him. I need a movie that contrasts that. A movie that only said “this guy is the worst”. Maybe a Chevy Chase documentary?

A new California law will effectively ban officers from questioning the families of people killed by police before alerting them to the news of their loved one's death.

This practice was popularized by Lexipol, the nation’s largest developer of law enforcement policy manuals. 🧵
