Appreciate this story from Signal Akron because, unlike some social media stories/complaints about "SAVE THE..." it gets at the challenges of saving this carousel (including $2M for a structure to house it) but also some examples of success stories from other cities. signalakron.org/carousel-fro...
Carousel from Chapel Hill Mall remains in storage in Akron - Signal Akron
City officials don't know when the hand-carved and hand-painted carousel will be on display again, since it needs a structure to house it.

Neat!

The Trans-Neptunium world 78799 Xewioso, which is about 500-600 km in diameter and orbits beyond Neptune, got in front of a star and folks in Japan using the 3.8m Seimei Telescope filmed it happening in real-time.

Watch as the star blinks on-off-on as the object moves in front of it.

Really hits home that polystyrene is an organic molecule. Other beetle larvae, like mealworms, are known to feed on it too.
