The whole point of democracy is so one person's derangement does not become everybody's problem. It's social hygiene. The fact the richest men in the West are a mix of grotty twelve year olds and deranged apocalypse fanatics is a problem, and we should be honest about it.

In a coordinated move, multiple federal agencies joined BlueSky yesterday and turned to trolling the opposition. Our Assessment on Democratic Decline warns of this autocratic practice: attacking the free press and narrowing the space in which factual reporting can safely operate without retaliation.

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

This is an important video to watch, to understand the problems with "just arrest ICE".

My only questions (really, for the law prof, not her) are about the legal foundations for all of this, and if they could ever possibly be changed in the future. (I'm thinking long term here.)
NEW — Some TRiiBE readers, among many others on the internet, have been suggesting that the Chicago police arrest ICE agents for their misconduct.

TRiiBE publisher @morganelisej.thetriibe.com put out this explainer video, breaking down the legality for y’all.

As a former gamer, I cannot overstate how big of a deal this right-wing takeover of Electronic Arts is.

Are they going to create video games where they kidnap and dismember journalists like Jamal Khashoggi?
