The first cancer-related story from our group @WeillCornell
is now published in @MolecularCell. We investigate the role of hyperconnected 3D regulatory hubs in controlling oncogenic programs and properties in glioblastoma and also across 16 cancer types. www.cell.com/molecular-ce...
Three-dimensional regulatory hubs support oncogenic programs in glioblastoma
Here, Breves et al. profile the 3D enhancer-promoter connectomes of patient-derived glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs), identify hyperconnected 3D regulatory “hubs” relevant for GBM biology, examine the i...

The final piece of my postdoctoral work in the @freudlab.bsky.social was recently published!

Quite amazing what this small little repair polymerase can do to fill 1-nt gaps in chromatin.

This RNA modification drives prostate cancer progression

Our recent study reveals that m6A RNA modification promotes prostate tumour growth and relapse. Specifically, it boosts the production of a cell movement molecule to aid cancer metastasis.

Almost 17 years after opening our yeast cell division lab, our first transcription paper in mouse embryonic stem cells! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
This schematic illustrates the interplay between transcription coactivator perturbations (e.g., TIP60 or ATAC complex depletion) and RNA homeostasis. Perturbations lead to alterations in mRNA synthesis, which are counterbalanced by changes in mRNA export and cytoplasmic decay of specific transcripts, thereby maintaining RNA homeostasis.
