I am so deeply tired of having to be skeptical of every pretty and cute and funny thing on the internet. I don’t want to turn into a detective every time there’s a cat video or nice picture of a sunset. It’s exhausting.

My biggest challenge in my life has been related to learning what success is TO ME. And what is "enough" for ME. Not for HGTV. Not for the way "things are supposed to be" or what mom or great grandma or anyone else would think of the dog-chewed coffee table. They don't have to live my life. I do.

I am convinced the West Wing convinced way too many people that “our government would never” when this entire time our government has been.
Had a debate with a friend on whether the West Wing is copaganda and I really think it is a very good ganda.

If nothing else, hopefully this era will show a lot of people why copaganda is so dangerous and why due process and defense attorneys are so important so long as the carceral state and eviction industrial complex exist.

Okay so, as someone not white with a really really white/privileged social circle, I just want to point how how weird it is when you’re an author with an author brand of anti-colonialism and apparently literally no one in your really well-educated circle said “oh maybe going to Dubai is not it”.
