In 2018 in a mtg with then Perm Sec in the Department for Communities I complained that Irvine was recruiting for the women's leadership course they funded from the 1st round of Fresh Start money for 'tackling paramilitarism'. A lot of bums shifting in seats but no accountability for this hypocrisy.

Okay, look, I want to explain a bit about this mystery of why Italians (and other Southern Europeans) are so much more up for rioting than people in the UK. The UK has over 7 million CCTV cameras. That's more than 1 camera per 10 people. London is the 3rd most surveilled city in the world. 1/

I say this as a Nordie: only a fellow Nordie could have delivered this line without a hint of irony.
