Yeah, I was there and Evanston police arrived and directed traffic away from the location and cleared cars from their path. Have reached out to my city council rep to learn what EPD’s mandate and goals are for when ICE / CBP bring their terror circus to town.
Local police will often say they're not "assisting" ICE or CBP when they do things like this, but what else is it when you're making it easier for these agents to move around a city and to evade the opposition they are facing?
In a second example of local police securing a path for Bovino's caravan today, Evanston cops just assisted with the feds' departure by blocking and directing traffic.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
