It seems that we somehow achieved the best case scenario from today’s meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy. The ball is now in Putin’s court for the next while and the Russian economy can continue to deteriorate.
🧵1/12: Russia’s economy hasn’t collapsed, but it is suffering immensely. It still runs, but only because the central bank keeps it alive with constant REPO liquidity. What was once emergency support is now the daily operating system.

Min gissning är att ryssarna är färdiga med Witkoff, de behöver inte honom längre, han har spelat ut sin roll. Viktigare är att få ukrainarna att avvisa planen, öka allas misstro mot amerikanarna och vidga klyftan mellan Europa och USA. Därför har de läckt samtalen mellan Witkoff och Usjakov.

Pays for all war damage—and reconstruction.
All Russians engaged in war crimes stand trial.

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Svenska medier, men framför allt svenska politiker, bör omnämna orten för den bombade ryska oljeterminalen som Björkö. För det är så staden heter, även om den ryska ockupationsmakten vill kalla den något annat.
