I’ve been worried about this. People who signed up for a US ‘self-deportation’ scheme say their payoffs were delayed, misdirected or never arrived – leaving them empty-handed in their home countries.
‘They tricked me’: Migrants were promised $1,000 to voluntarily leave the US. Some never received it

We don’t spend enough time discussing how the entire MAGA movement is kept afloat by the constant threats of stochastic terrorism orchestrated by the president of the United States.

Congress, the courts, much of the media … all kept in line by the mob boss and his army of anonymous goons.

HANDHELD 3D PLASTIC PEN. You can just fill in broken plastic like you're *drawing* it!

It's so bloody obvious and yet I can't believe it didn't occur to me that these exist.

... I NEED ONE.

I say this with zero irony: if you are even tangentially a part of a retro video game community, it is your civic duty to push back against this company and shun anyone who doesn't. This is fascism tapping gently at the door and as soon as you let it in, it's going to invite its friends.

Tbh I think people should start thinking about this stuff in terms of “organizing for impact & effectiveness.” I don’t think the Hogwarts Legacy backlash was effective — the game sold extremely well, unleashed a RW hold on VTubing — but that probably could have been avoided with better planning
Harder to convince people to stop using Fortnite over this because of what Fortnite is. It’s no longer just a funny battle royale clone of PUBG, it’s more akin to a platform like VRChat or Bluesky. Kinda in the same way I wouldn’t tell people to stop using Discord if they did a Hogwarts Legacy promo
"Rowling will undoubtedly receive substantial royalties from the Fortnite skins… That money will likely be funneled into her hate campaign against trans people.

"… over a third of… funding for the [U.K.] case came directly from Rowling…"

In 1996, Maria Farmer bravely became the first woman to go to authorities about Epstein. She warned that he stole photos of her 12 and 14 year old sisters to possibly sell.

I just spoke to her and she says she is “over the moon” this has come out and she is crying with her sister.
From the Epstein files…

Epstein threatening to burn someone’s house down if they revealed he stole photos of young girls and sold them and had other photos taken.

I truly believe this country would be in much better shape if the general public had this “we must destroy them” attitude about CEOs of companies that do wage theft and mass layoffs-offs instead of consenting adults who got caught violating a corporate fraternization policy.

On one side: a thick stack of all the endless paperwork necessary for a disabled person to fill out over a year to get housing, food, meds, etc

On the other side: a few pages of paperwork necessary for MAiD.

As long as no one works to reduce the former to zero, the latter will *always* be eugenics

HOW IS THIS A HARD CONCEPT MY GOD
