Happy to see that the @forward.com has an article out today about the digitial klezmer manuscript project I worked on as a volunteer in 2020-21.😁many fond memories of poking around looking at high-resolution chickenscratch scores of klezmer magnum opuses dating to the 1890s in some cases
How hundreds of forgotten klezmer tunes have been rescued from oblivion
Thanks to a mammoth klezmer digitization project, we can hear Jewish music that hasn't been played for generations.

I hate making non-cat posts. I hate "discourse". But the number of comments I've seen degrading and dehumanizing sex workers because of that Melania trailer is appalling. That ghoulish woman will never see your "whore" jokes but they absolutely contribute to the stigma that gets sex workers killed.

I understand that a lot of folks have been misled by fear-mongering and powerful regressive voices but it’s still astonishing to me that so many have fallen for the idea that oppressively policing other people’s gender identity and expression could in any way be part of an enlightened future.
