A cool thing about the return of the 7-layer burrito is that they did not put a stupid price on it and you can go buy a couple burritos for <$10. Two literal grams of fucking sodium (not kidding, don't look, I wish I didn't) for less than $10 is not a thing we see, these days.

The only good thing about 2025 has been the return of the 7-layer burrito.

I had just realized that was nearly 20 damned years ago. Doesn't seem possible.

Being too lazy to go downstairs is kinda neat, but I think I need to overcome this because I do eventually need food.

We already know the answer to this.

i wonder if a sufficient number of viable democrats have it in them to effectively counter a narrative of "i am tanking the economy, firing everyone i can, and sending soldiers to push you around if i dont like the way you think, and also lee greenwood is the only music allowed"

Perhaps I would have better luck dating if I founded Antifa.

Hahahah. Well, good for him. I think it's cool the family's had a long association with the team like that.

Parking Ramp is not what anyone says here, and they've never even *heard* it. The first time I heard that, I literally said "what in the hell is a parking ramp? You mean like chocks to put behind the wheels so the car won't roll if you park on an incline?"

Free Wi-Fi. Dude's even more talented than I thought.

I'm still puzzled by Dr. Hook there at the end. That's just weird.

Kids today do not understand how bad everything was 20 years ago.

The "I think so... defensively" bit was where I lost it (of course the Luke Stowe mention was when I guessed who it probably was).

This is still my favorite moment in Reds broadcasting and I will not let my current feelings about the Reds or Marty Brennaman's post-Joe bitterness/assholishness ruin that.

The last time I watched it a couple years back, that was the exact reason why. Someone talking about the time Adam Dunn prank-called the Reds radio announcers on-air during a rain-delay as "Adam from Milwaukee" and talked a little about Scott Hatteberg, and whether or not he was any good.

The 90s had good and bad points. The harder I look at the 80s... I just can't find the good parts.

The biggest tell, though, is if someone says "Please?" when asking you to repeat yourself. The origin of that being the same way Germans use "bitte" is possibly apocryphal, but makes as much sense as anything else.

And I don't hear it nearly as much now as I used to.

Call me on my pho-en and I will give you more examples. I can tell you about the time UC hired a football coach from Alabema.

The Cincinnati accent (and some of the word usage) used to be weirder than it is. It's fading.

It's easier to tell who is definitely from here than who isn't. Especially if they are from the West Side. You'll be able to tell when you go to a Cincinnati Bingals game.

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?
mcgritterson.industries
Hmm. I just went and looked up how badly I've mispronounced it before. Pretty far off.

I will never vote for John Travolta.

It's like if you've ever watched how one of these works. Everything has its own tape up there. More than one of them can and should be going at any given time.

Incidentally, my birthday is coming up. Always is, assuming I live long enough. You could buy me one of these.

Anyway, it looks weird to people. It's upset people before. But, I don't know, everything runs on its own track up there, and the only thing that really hurts is if any of the tracks stop running.

Like, a couple people at work don't get why I was working/returning their e-mails today. I was like "my family's good, I'm as OK as I can be, but sitting around doing nothing is probably a good way to come up with some reason to not be OK." I mean, that's how it works whether anyone died or not.
mcgritterson.industries
I think I'm going to have the same problem around people the next few days that I did when at least a couple of my grandparents died in that my grieving process is usually conducted in chunks. Nothing more to do right now, just feeling normal and trying to distract myself. There'll be more, later.

You're going to film grainy, bigfoot sighting-quality footage of a parade he's in?
