Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) is on YouTube.

Gary Oldman and Tim Roth star in Tom Stoppard's big screen adaptation of his own stage play, itself a play on Shakespeare's Hamlet.

reminder if you are still in clean-up mode today, don’t overwork your garbage disposals.

today the busiest day of the year for plumbers. fats, starches, and bones do not belong in a disposal or drain.

reduce food waste, compost where you can, and don’t treat your drains like a trash can.

On the other hand the median person lives in a country with 213 million people (Brazil, the world’s seventh largest) and three-quarters of people live in the 33 countries with population >46m (Argentina or larger). Might be off by a bit on that second fact.
To be fair, it is to be expected that there are fewer large than small countries. Still an interesting list.

Cannoli, because my aunt usually brings them on Christmas Eve but we’re all too full from the seven fishes to eat them
We’re a taco soup and leftover tamales family.

But what I really care about is Christmas breakfast: sausage balls and monkey bread. It’s not Christmas without it. I care more about that than any other food traditions.

Do other people have designated Christmas breakfast?
it fascinates me how most everyone in the U.S. does turkey for Thanksgiving, but we are all over the map as to what we eat for Christmas (as is proper for a hugely diverse nation).

I come from a Christmas prime rib roast family, myself.

JD Vance owns a company that buys American real estate and sells it to foreign investors. They specifically target Americans in crisis to buy their property for less than it is worth.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

My computer usually tells me at this time on Sunday mornings that I had 24 hours of screen time per day this week. (This is not true.)

It just told me 24 hours and 8 minutes... the week that just ended had an extra hour.
