Who funds the Free Speech Union?
Toby Young’s outfit went to court to hide its donors. Today we reveal that funders include US anti-abortion groups, Brexit politicians and Tufton Street insiders.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

Incredibly, people still take this bloke seriously when he tells them he'll be terraforming Mars by easter. He's an inveterate liar, a child.

Coverage of Jenrick today basically amounts to sane-washing. He didn't criticise judges. He claimed there was a conspiracy by certain judges, who he had discovered and could number, to undermine British law and create open borders.
“… a sort of mad McCarthyite scream of paranoia and anxiety of the sort which he has now branded himself… he is living entirely inside of his little mind…”

Ian Dunt @iandunt.bsky.social nails Robert Jenrick’s plans for “activist” judges during Sky News’ Press Preview.

Exactly the right language and tone from Starmer here -no nonsense about "legitimate concerns" or weasel words about cost/practicality.

Now government needs to put his money where the PM's mouth is (in policy terms)
"That would tear our country apart" the PM says about Farage's proposals to deport legal migrants, including those with permanent status.

Every single time I go to look at Twitter there's about 20 notifications and it's mostly Tommy Robinson. I don't follow him, I don't follow any of his admirers, and yet that's who it wants me to see. Astonishing that the UK government's position on this platform remains "it's fine"
There’s a dormant London Centric Twitter account I set up and barely used, which still has all the default settings including notifications. Anyway this is the second time today it’s pushed a Tommy Robinson tweet at me. Given millions of Brits will have the app, god knows how many are getting this.

This'll be very telling when he comes to speak. If Farage uses his appearance in front of that committee to encourage a foreign state to bully his own country, he'll have crossed a very specific line.
Politico: "The Sun has seen evidence to [a US] committee submitted by Nigel Farage in which he suggests the White House should use “diplomacy and trade” in the free speech battle, which sounds like calling for Britain to be bullied into a law change."
