“Kind, good, happy, gentlemanly, secure people never go Nazi….But the frustrated and humiliated intellectual, the rich and scared speculator, the spoiled son, the labor tyrant, the fellow who has achieved success by smelling out the wind of success—they would all go Nazi in a crisis.” — D. Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino marches through Minneapolis surrounded by federal agents, shouting at American citizens.

This isn’t about deporting “the worst of the worst.” It’s about deliberately sowing fear and chaos in cities that oppose the Trump regime

There's no better way to observe MLK Day than to go on the news and insist that the civil rights protesters objecting to police brutality are actually "paid agitators"
Rep. Byron Donalds: "These agitators -- who by the way are paid, folks. America, they are paid to do this kind of mess."

I JUST NOW read in my workplace training on AI ethics and assurance, that using AI to 'predict' future crime is a BIG NOPE... And then I log in online and see this 🤯

Being a non-American English-speaker on social media is funny 😅

This bloke clearly had some sort of local following before today but "the general public of Minnesota being stubborn as fuck" is the world's favourite phenomenon this week, so we're just like "who is this idiot and why is he talking?"
This, for example? This is fucking textbook, man. This is the response of every person has who charged into a serious situation, decided they knew how to help without asking or listening to anyone, and then pitched a fit when the carpet wasn't rolled out for them

"We should accept that Britain is no longer a global power" is a reasonable suggestion.

"Therefore, we should submit to the most belligerent and threatening power," reveals both what your understanding of power always was, and your own lack of a positive vision for the country.

“BAD ADVICE.” Republicans are embracing a method to criticize Trump’s actions without calling him out

Blame advisers.

Threaten Greenland? Just “bad advice.”

Tariffs? “It’s not the president,” it’s Navarro.

Investigating Powell, credit card rates… List is long.

'Bad advice': Republicans criticize Trump's policies without going directly at him
Republicans frequently say those around Trump are giving him "bad advice" as a way to disagree with his policies while avoiding blaming him.

"Why won't my bank let me withdraw my life savings, after I told them I want to 'invest' it all in crypto? It's my money, they can't do this!"

Well...
Eric Adams, former NYC mayor, launched a memecoin (cryptocurrency) today. He marketed it as an “NYC Token” and used media appearances and his social media to promote it.

Within hours, Adams then drained its liquidity, apparently having scammed investors out of $3.4 million—a move called a rug pull.

Can we please bring back the old social media rule where we check the replies to see if someone else already posted the exact reply we just thought of, and if they already did, we like their version and move on instead of retyping the same damn thing over and over boringly like a bunch of LLMs?

Also any Military *Police* soldier firing a shot within the United States with that little provocation would be raked over the coals.

Because if you're gonna compare ICE to military forces it should probably be the military forces who are actually armed and operating around American civilians.
Noem saying Ross acted "according to his training" is a blinking red light. Any investigative effort from those with subpoena power needs to press on ICE permitting early resort to lethal force. @lilahassan.bsky.social's reporting is crucial & acknowledges it may be out of date:
