It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.
The Salvation Army is not a charity. They are an evangelical church that uses donated money to actively oppress gay rights. They've been especially cruel to trans people.

One of the only posts of mine that ever took off was on this, The salvation army (even if it may help people in a community) at its core is inherently homophobic/transphobic & is actively supporting ice and other horrid groups

do not give money to them, support local food kitchens with direct funds

I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

A good post from the tumble, esp in regards to anything with art. Studying new concepts and techniques is the most fun when you can do it like a dog chewing and shaking a new toy around until you can rip out the squeaker and run through the house triumphantly going SQUIKSQUIKSQUIKSQUIK
Tumblr post from macyvermedical: Took me until about halfway through college before I realized "study" means "fplay with the material in a variety of ways until you understand it" and not just "read the assigned chapters and do the homework" and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.

I had this inflicted on me on tumblr and now I have to share it with my Canadian friends here because WHAT.
A post on the reddit forum r/StupidFood with the caption "This is supposed to be poutine..." The post is the first of two pictures, a wooden slab for a plate and seven fries, seven individual fries laid out on a sauce line of what I assume is gravy, the fries on the gravy and not the gravy on the fries, with little blobs of some kind of cheese and two tiny parsleys on each cheese blob. I don't know what kind of cheese that is and I'm not sure I care given that every other part of this alleged poutine is a horror and an insult to poutine. This is horrendous. This is gentrified. This is an abomination unto carbs and fats.
