This validates my belief that the vast majority of Americans do not understand how many federal programs they rely upon in their daily lives. They literally do not put 2+2 together. They think the money comes from some magical virtue spigot.
Here’s the thing. Every one of these people in tears heard Trump on the stump before Nov. They knew he was cruel. But they were fine with it, thinking he’d only hurt the people they didn’t like. The problem with cruelty—It spreads. You don’t get to control it. Sooner or later, it comes for you too.

This describes exactly how I feel every time a patent attorney represents someone applying for a trademark.
A customer refused to buy the copy of the book they wanted from our shelves because they “don’t buy display copies.” Not sure they know how bookshops work. 🤷♂️

I'm a fed. Not NPS. I'm an officer of, AFAIK, the only remaining queer ERG in the fed govt at this time. In order to still be in existence, we had to engage in some fuckery. It's terrible but we on the board chose it in order to give our membership the chance to decide for themselves if we fold.⬇️
