I still have a Rockbox-shaped hole in my heart. We improved mp3 players massively, and had a blast doing it.
I wonder what would be a similar thing today: A common device with frustratingly poor software that could benefit from some open source love.
Any suggestions?

The “journalist” who first spread that misquote was Declan McCullagh, an obscure libertarian who, thanks to that one small act of perfidy, bears some responsibility for the world we now inhabit
Remember in 2000 when Al Gore was repeatedly misquoted as having said he invented the internet and that was seen the eyes of many as disqualifying him from office? Simpler times. Today, Trump makes up lies equivalent to "I invented the internet" 30 times a week and no one bats an eye. Good job media

It's my favorite day! It's the 38th anniversary of the Max Headroom signal broadcast intrusion!

1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who.

A massive salute from the Kickback Committee to USL fans across the country who have SHOWN UP for their clubs this season. Playoffs in Tulsa have seen sellout crowds, a sell out in Knoxville for the USL League One final.

Keep going and keep growing the game. 🙌

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.
