No one says to legit business owners, "hey I see there's an underground market selling toxic knock-offs of your product: how will you incorporate the toxic product AND protect your customers against its harms?" But apparently it's fine to make this suggestion to educators with respect to AI.

Time to catch up on How to be a Werewolf! (howtobeawerewolf.com) Malaya Walters was bitten by a mysterious wolf as a child, leaving her human family to navigate her lycanthropy for decades. As an adult, she's faced with the opportunity to finally learn what she's capable of.

Had we but falcons enough, and time,
This widening gyre would be no crime.
Yet the blood-dimmed tide shall flow,
Vaster than empires, far less slow.
And if the center cannot hold—
Well then, lady, let’s be bold!

I mean, the thing is, and I keep telling people this, I am SUPER lazy, so why would I learn how to prompt "AI" to write in a non-"AI" way when I can just naturally write in an engaging, human style? I doubt there is ever going to be a point where adding "AI" to the mix isn't just extra work for me.
I just saw a great take on writers using "AI" - people don't like to read something that's clearly written by "AI", so we need to respect that and make sure it seems natural.

So...put as much effort into tricking people into thinking we made an effort as we would into actually writing. Outstanding.

You also don't get to romanticize costs from 15 years ago without adjusting for inflation. $215 in 2010 would be $321 in 2025.
LANKFORD: In 2010, before Obamacare kicked in, the normal healthcare premium was $215.

HUNT: Right. But insurance companies could refuse to cover you for a preexisting condition

LANKFORD: That's true.

Very happy to introduce a new tool, BookReconciler!

You can take spreadsheets with book data and add subject headings, descriptions, ISBNs, HathiTrust IDs, & more. You can also cluster editions & variations of the same "Work."

There are reports of an active shooter situation at Brown University, but if you try to look up information about it, Google will automatically fill in your search field, demonstrating how common this has become in the US.

I'm so tired man.

I need you cis people to understand this. Rachel Levine did everything right. Legal name change. Legal sex update. So professional and accomplished she got SENATE APPROVAL as an open trans woman.

There's nothing we can do that they won't ignore to hurt us. So don't let them.

“There’s a public health imperative to quickly expand the adoption of autonomous vehicles.”

Would the author say the same about building bike lanes? Installing automatic traffic cameras? Requiring Intelligent Speed Assist?

All of those are proven to save lives — and at a fraction of AVs' cost.

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.
