Unfortunately, I think we're going to be seeing more of this. Last year, the publisher I work for would put a book on hold if we found out it had AI images/writing. It wouldn't get published with that.
But this year? A little AI disclaimer is added to the copyright page and off to print it goes.

This woman is in a nursing program & the entire textbook for her anatomy class is wrong because it was written by a professor who used chatgpt to generate the images & possibly the text. She complained to the prof, then the university— they’ve done NOTHING about it.
