Acknowledging the dead would mean acknowledging the catastrophic public health/economic/policy failure that made the body count so high in the first place

sometimes it will just hit me that over a million americans died from covid in a short period of time and we never had a national mourning. we never collectively grieved. we never honored the dead. this feels like a failure

The WSJ was allowed to report from an "aid site" last week or so; they heard shots, the IDF denied there had been any shots (from anyone, not just them). The IDF people didn't realize that the WSJ got the shots on video.

Anti-ICE protesters are blocking both sides of the 101 Freeway near the Alameda Street exit in DTLA. The CHP has since closed that portion of the freeway.
