I'm begging IoT device makers to name their apps something that is in any way related to the brand on the device. Tapo, SmartThings, SmartHome...I don't know what any of these do. I'm holding an outlet controller that says "tp-link" and "Kasa" on it. ...Which app controls it? 🤷♂️ It's a mystery!

I keep warning that so many of our systems are still built around the assumption that quality writing and analysis are costly and therefore meaningful signals.
