"Insurance helpline, how can I help?"

"On my life insurance application there's a question about my child: Are they likely to become a protagonist?"

"Do they have an unusual hair colour, or a special talent?"

"Yes, pink hair, great at bowling, why?"

"That increases the risk of a parent dying."

I was flipping through Facebook videos, and this gave me pause. Not for the content itself, but for the ad they chose.

I also cleaned up the cat piss inside that crate of mine in the office. I'd been putting that off for a long time.

My son put it best when he was a young kid: "Cats are great because you get happy every time you encounter them. You turn a corner, and there's a cat there, and it's like there's a cat, and that's great."

I always think about it whenever I turn a corner and encounter a cat.

Think I finally fixed the server... Or at least as fixed as I can afford it to be with the current time and money that I have.

Deep in the forest, a forgotten temple ruin overgrown by moss is the final resting place of an old god.

A stone is heaved aside, sunlight warms ancient flagstones.

An offering is placed on the altar - salt, bread, oil.

A prayer is said: "If you can help, do so. If not, persist."

It is answered.

When you repaste a die, are you team isopropyl alcohol or team acetone?

I'm firmly in team acetone.

Dammit, Canada! We NEED you guys to be the voice of reason here, as our sane neighbor!
This is a dangerous and irresponsible response.

Cheering the illegal abduction of a foreign head of state and celebrating U.S. control over another country is wrong.

Canada cannot pick & choose when international law applies. If the rules only matter when it’s convenient, they don’t protect anyone

Historically, signs of collapse in an empire include desperate, meandering resource campaigns, spiraling debt, and civil unrest. Debt is exacerbated by severe political corruption and endless wars for assets (oil/natural gas) When social safety nets fail and inflation rises, people eventually revolt

So, with the failing alternator, I've been charging the car battery at home with my battery charger as a workaround.

When it drops below 11.7, I have a hard time getting it to start. So I'm being as proactive as I can for $0.
