this is really the vilest part. the way these people, caught trampling your rights, will hound you to the ends of the earth and beyond the grave. this womans crime was being married to someone the regime murdered. abrego garcia had the temerity to be mistakenly deported to a gulag. unforgivable sins
This is appalling: Top DOJ officials are actively pushing for a criminal investigation into the widow of Renee Good, leading prosecutors to quit en masse, NYT is reporting.

Who in the White House ordered DOJ to do this? That's the next thing to establish.

I think some people will be tempted to read this as 'even murdering a woman can't break his hold' versus 'a net 25 point shift moved Abolish ICE from fringe demand to the verge of popularist mandate'
This YouGov poll on ICE is really eye-opening. Public opinion has really swung against DHS/ICE and their terror regime.

Too many Americans support the grotesque evil of the admin, yes. The *majority* do not.

Claiming that they do support this does nothing but further GOP talking points. Do not do free labor for evil.

You are spreading enemy propaganda when you say this.

You are saying exactly the lie the fascist Trump regime wants you to believe and say.
When you say that “most Americans support the murder of Renee Good (or most other awful MAGA actions,” you are doing Trump’s propaganda work for him.

Polling makes it very clear that most Americans do NOT support this shit.

many commercial jets have been blown out of the sky because they were believed to be covert military aircraft. Secretary Hegseth just gave every SAM site on the planet an excuse to take pot shots at any 737s they think are suspicious, and now we’re all less safe
perfidy (concealing a military object as a civilian object like Hegseth apparently did) is both morally abhorrent and also puts EVERYONE in danger because it erodes existing and pretty-dang-effective norms around “don’t shoot at civilian aircraft.”

Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

In 1999, a woman named Jessica Gonzales sought and obtained an order of protection against her physically abusive husband ("AH"), who had repeatedly threatened to kill her and their three children. The order included language specifically limiting when and where AH was allowed to see the children.

Absolutely correct: “If our authorities exist for the protection of the people, then the laws should exist for the protection of the people, not the protection of authorities. If the law exists for the protection of authorities, then the authorities do not exist for the protection of the people.”
This weekend, I wrote about the state murder of Renee Good, and the fascist claim that her murderer enjoys absolute immunity, and a common-sense reversal of qualified immunity that protects civilians from authorities, rather than the other way around.

100%. If you want an alternative slogan you can go with "Abolish ICE before they kill again."
the only reason "abolish ICE" is seen as radical is that no one will say it but the far left. if every normie Democrat started saying it tomorrow it would move the overton window so far you'd have to squint to find it. my kingdom for leaders who understand they can shape public opinion.
Democrats officially going all in on the mealy mouthed “ICE needs training” narrative.

No. ABOLISH ICE.
