I know people talk a lot about Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, but at this point I believe that nothing short of sanctioning them back to the Stone Age is going to make Israel stop. They’ve descended into a murderous frenzy and show no capacity to pull themselves out of it.
Israel has announced the suspension of more than two dozen humanitarian organisations from working in Gaza, including Doctors Without Borders (MSF), in its latest action taken against NGOs that operate in Palestine.

It's successive governments breaking the social contract that fucks up "social cohesion" not people looking to create a better life.
Before I moved to Germany I was volunteering teaching English to migrants and refugees in Dublin. On my last day before moving, a 60-something Ukrainian woman I'd been teaching said "Good luck" then glanced down at her lesson notes, and said "It'll be grand."

Tonight people are going to push a narrative of "why are immigrants taking our homes/healthcare/stuff" instead of the actual narrative which should be "why don't we have what we need, why have our governments failed us?". And it's convenient for the govt to have this be the message.
